Firewire Sound Card Why Are There Dropouts On My Firewire Sound Card?

Why are there dropouts on my firewire sound card? - firewire sound card

I have a Hercules 16/12 running Cubase VST, and sometimes I get audio dropouts during playback, even with a very active little evidence. my old sound card (M-Audio Ozone) or not at all ... I have the latest drivers, and have a large buffer and latency settings created quite high, but I am still in the audio-points of light from time to time ...

1. Manager task arrival process to see if the CPU is overloaded. When it comes to the application. If not, then you have to do with the configuration of the "sound card" to.

2. This does not mean low latency? High latency means that your reach is always trying to be.

3. Reduce the size of the buffer. Large buffers are to reduce latency - Urban Myth.

4. Try a different sequencer, logic example. Try the other options in the sequencer.

5. In general, trial and error when installing new audio card and settings are still very different.

6. Make sure the latest ASIO drivers.

7. Get answers from an online forum, you can not seriously expect anyone here to answer your question. However, only tried www.audioforums.com
