OK, rotting in the machine level is a structural repairs. When you talk of the table with a motor boat - which also structural because it is! This could be a job with a direct interest, but not a simple task if done it right. And if you go to the money, they can not do it right the first time to spend - much cheaper long term. If the rot is caused by rainwater sitting in the trunk must find ways to find and hold the drainage vessel at any time in the future. If the repair is not caused by the red direct damage - it is the doctrine that only delayed considerably more costly maintenance over time.

If the value of the boat is very little directly in the form of money, you must consider the value of other forms, such as family connections or personal tiessame.

The cost of the repair can be hundreds of materials, must have the primary investment in personal protective equipment like goggles, ear plugs, a lot of nitrile gloves and protective clothing.

The skin of a fiberglass hull is more layers from this point on - we must be careful that a repair does not include hard or soft segments in the body do, because it later only to a disturbance or near field problem. Consolidation of all materials and wood fiber is the repair method that avoids this. Silent fiber must be at least 12:1 - Fiberglass 4 mm (4x12 = 48) about 50mm is very good. Scarves of wood should be 8:1 for diapers - although 5:1 is a good machine for the recording and the tracks curve, where low turnout. This is minimal - LARger is always stronger if you have the space, and will.

Polyester resins have a hard time connecting the cellulose - is unfortunate, because this wood is the most important link. The most common error in a fiberglass boat is between the elements of wood and resin. With a wooden boat, which was dull on the structural material, especially wood - a bit of fiber stiffness, strength, but little water, no gel layer adds or linear polyurethanes, etc. Thus, any rot is a serious problem and only the properly maintained and repaired to eliminate.

For strength and water resistance and durability of epoxy resins and techniques are best. However, the application methods are very similar and are, so if you decide to always use the same polyesterTo observe the process that vinyl ester resins are the minimum requirements for the purposes of the investigation.

There is no particular order - there are many skills to get to his head and really only serve the practical experience beyond a certain point. If you use the techniques and materials of good quality finished work to follow, very professional - and to repair their well you know, it was well done, because you have done that!

Good luck.

There are several advantages to using fiberglass boats because of their efficiency and stability. Is even considered as a good alternative in comparison to other boats. Some of these benefits with fiberglass boats with no rust, termites, and not regular paint.

Although fiberglass boats require less maintenance they often get blisters from time to time, holes in the bottom of the boat and minor damage from other elements. Following these instructions, you have your boat easily repaired CSF.

1. First, find the right tools for the job. The tools are especially saws, sandpaper, resin and hardener, epoxy putty, brush, epoxy paint, sandpaper, scissors, fabric and fiberglass fiberglass gel coating.

2. Here you will find the damaged areas of the boat and use the saw on the part of the boat removed.

3. The next step is to ensure all traces of wax and dirt from the area so clean that the resin is working properly. Then let the area dry.

4. Use the Sander to the area where the adhesive must be placed grind away and generously given for the resin and hardener with a brush to get good results. It is much easier to use hooks to the damaged area of the factory to fix fiberglass.

5. Prepare the fiberglass to fit into the hole, cut a part that is sufficient to cover the hole. Achieve the best results, it is advisable to cut the fiberglass to fit the shape of the bottom of the boat.

6. Use sandpaper to smooth the positionDGES, then a layer of fiberglass resin and hardener, be sure to remove the air bubbles and to ensure that the optical fiber. Then use sandpaper to smooth the surface of the fiber.

7. Continue the process of cutting layers of fiber to the end. For a repair certain areas of gravel sections of the plant to fiber, color fields of sand, then add a layer of gel coat for the final touch.

DO NOT GO TO Walmart.
Whatever you do, do not go to Walmart and try to apply a fiberglass repair kit to use. You only sell packages of polyester resin. You need a resin fixing boats, bonds, and collect together all the wood and timber, plus a bonus of your glass timber, glass and crystal exists. A package of polyester will not do.

It will take only product to accommodate your success Repair, is a "ship of epoxy resin. If you can cut red, and a secure connection with wood and safely replace - and uses a pot with epoxy resin (designed for this purpose) paste to the repair site, you will be well.

Just do not put your only sure fix ... but also much for the environment is very strong ... right, the compensation will not fail, but could be repaired in the surrounding.

Glen Go to the link below and in the pages of "epoxy", have a very good explanation for the epoxy boat and made some suggestions to make as with the repair.

PS.
Let no one scare you more things, "protection". Of course, the "Western" system is one of the most popular, but certainly not the best. I also worked several years with epoxy and fiberglass boat. I have over the years by accident, of course, "epoxy" All my shoes, shirt, pants, coffee cup, gloves, tools, etc. in various parts of my boat, a desk, a basin of water and soil, etc.
I use both brands, and Glen-L Epoxy better --and because there are no unpleasant or "yellow" color version emits works very well in the wood above. I work in a well ventilated area, never worn glasses or earrings or respirators - and I use common sense and lots and lots of disposable gloves. As a rule, start with 4 or more pairs of gloves on each hand - so if I epoxy, I tore open the outer glove and go.
Hope this helps.

if it is in covers / floor of the polyester resin well, but it is a resin to sea trade from. others are right, you get all red - is a bacterium that is more widespread.

If the rear, it is essential to remove all the beams and replace everything. and the use of epoxy resin.
